Created by Camargue nature lovers and friends of the Lamouroux family, its initial goal was to help the Park succeed in its metamorphosis, to accompany it in its educational and structural approaches.
Still today, even if its missions have evolved through time, it remains the Park’s privileged partner.
Since the beginning of the year 2000, its principal activity has been to manage the Wildlife Protection Center.
But, it also heads scientific actions: species follow-up, ring fitting camps, natural habitat management, raising awareness for the protection of nature…
Since 2009, it co-manages two sites in the Littoral Conservatory and lakeside banks in the Saintes Maries de la Mer municipality.
Its Board of Directors is composed of scientists, curators and others nature lovers. Open to everyone, the association sends out an annual newsletter.
Very much involved in Camargue, it plays an active role in many local issues and has a seat on the Camargue Regional Natural Park’s support committee.
